(NewsReady.com) – During the summer of 2019, Republican New York businesswoman and Jamaican immigrant, Scherie Murray, announced her bid to challenge the House seat held by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Now, a new contender for the throne has arrived. This time it comes from the other side of the aisle. Former CNBC correspondent Michelle Caruso-Cabrera has also launched a campaign to unseat AOC.

At least three other Democrats want the congresswoman’s job. Michelle is the latest candidate running for AOC’s seat. Many Democrats believe that there are too many radical progressive figures in Congress, and the party is too far left to effectively work with Republicans.
While there are already about a dozen people running against AOC this year, Caruso-Cabrera intends to become the Democratic nominee for her district this fall.
