(NewsReady.com) – A radical Democrat congresswoman has warned that President Joe Biden risks losing the support of young people and the far-left. She’s probably trying to push him into adopting more left-wing policies – but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. With polls showing his popularity lagging behind former President Donald Trump, more defections could seal Biden’s fate.

On March 24, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told a local news channel that Biden hasn’t enacted the “progressive” policies he campaigned on in 2020 – and if he doesn’t do it soon, left-wing Democrats and young people will withdraw their support for him.
AOC focused on the issue of student debt, which she wants Biden to write off. She claimed (inaccurately) that “it is Biden’s power and ability to cancel student debt, and nobody else’s.” In fact, it’s not clear that Biden can cancel student debt by executive order, but Congress could definitely do it. However, AOC hasn’t introduced any bill related to student debt cancellation.
According to AOC, Biden could lose the support of young people, who she said “worked overtime to get this president elected,” but now feel they’re being ignored. With the latest polling data showing Trump beating Biden by 12% in favorability ratings, the embattled president can’t afford to lose any more supporters. The problem is, if he moves to the Left, that will push Centrists and moderate Democrats towards the GOP; if he doesn’t, he’ll lose the far-left. Is there any way out, or is Biden already doomed?
