Biden Admin Polices Language at Federal Department

Biden's New Bill to Remove Specific Terms for Not Being Inclusive Enough

(NewsReady.com) – The US is still in the middle of a pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead. Millions of Americans are out of work. Thousands of people lost their businesses. Is President Joe Biden focusing on those problems, though? Don’t be silly; there are more important things to worry about… like words in federal documents.

According to a February 16 Axios exclusive, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officials the department’s head, Tracy Renaud, signed a memo directing the staff to use “more inclusive language.” That reportedly includes replacing “alien” with “noncitizen” and “undocumented noncitizen” instead of “illegal alien.”

There are a couple of reasons why this doesn’t make sense. First, the word “noncitizen” is used frequently by USCIS already. A search of their website proves that. Second, and more importantly, there are more critical issues to deal with like making jobs, helping small businesses, and a wide array of other problems.

Instead of worrying about illegal aliens being upset, Biden should focus on taking care of citizens. After all, they’re the ones who deserve to reap the benefits of their government.
