(NewsReady.com) – In August, Joe Biden released a plan to handle the coronavirus outbreak if he and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) win the election in November. Among his promises was a mask mandate for the US. Now, he’s walking back part of the plan.
On September 6, during an interview with AZFamily’s “Politics Unplugged,” Biden said he admitted he won’t be able to mandate masks. The former vice president explained there’s a “constitutional issue” with the policy and he wouldn’t enact it because he questions its legality.
I brought up the constitutional issue when @JoeBiden first started talking about a "national mask mandate." The media celebrated him for the idea. Now he admits it's unconstitutional. Mainstream media are, generally speaking, poorly informed. https://t.co/cascjGCLIT via @nypost

Biden’s comments come a little over a week after Sen. Harris said people who violate the potential mask mandate wouldn’t be punished. In other words, it would have just been a guideline issued by the White House that carried no weight and was not enforceable. What a complete waste of time.
