Biden Had Stormy Call with Zelenskyy While Ukraine Asked for More Aid

(NewsReady.com) – The US has provided more than $17 billion to Ukraine since the start of the war, which includes military and humanitarian aid. A phone call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Joe Biden got testy over the summer when the two discussed financial help.

According to reports, Biden spoke to his Ukrainian counterpart in June and told him lawmakers approved an additional $1 billion in military aid. Instead of being grateful for the help, people familiar with the call told NBC News Zelenskyy started rattling off a list of all the other help he needed. That angered the POTUS.

Biden allegedly raised his voice and told Zelenskyy he should show more gratitude for the generosity of the American people.

The report is especially shocking because America has given far more money than many at home are comfortable handing over. The president and Congress have taken a lot of criticism from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle who are sick of shelling out billions to prop up the Ukrainian government, even though nearly everyone agrees the Russian act of aggression was wrong.

The report indicates the relationship between Zelenskyy and Biden has improved. What do you think about the continued aid being sent to Ukraine?
