(NewsReady.com) – In October, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) ordered non-essential businesses in so-called hot spots to close. The second round of closures angered business owners who don’t believe the restrictions are fair. On Friday, November 20, the mandate caused a conflict in Erie County, where Buffalo is located.
According to reports, Robby Dinero, the owner of the gym Athletes Unleashed, allowed roughly 50 business owners and supporters into his establishment. Soon, a county health department showed up with three sheriff deputies to shut the meeting down.
Dinero was having none of it and kicked the officials out, telling them to get a warrant. The crowd at the gym chanted “get out” as they were leaving.
Business owners were just starting to get back on their feet when the governor issued the second round of closures. Cuomo is even limiting Thanksgiving dinners to a maximum of 10 people, but several sheriffs across the state have no plans to interfere in the holidays. The draconian measures are one more example of the damage the Democratic party is doing in the name of “safety.”
