(NewsReady.com) – CBS host Margaret Brennan got a big surprise from her panel on Sunday, January 23. She asked how many of them believed America is in a better place now than it was when President Joe Biden took office a year ago, and it probably wasn’t what she wanted to hear.
On January 23, Brennan hosted CBS’s Face the Nation and asked a panel of six people how many of them felt the US had made progress over the last year – and every single one of them said no. The astonished host asked, “No one believes we’re in a better spot now?” The panel confirmed that no, they didn’t.
All six panelists feel the Biden administration’s messaging on COVID-19 has been confusing and misleading. One 2020 Biden voter shot down the president’s claim this is now a pandemic of the unvaccinated, saying, “I’m not buying that at all.” Another Biden voter said, “My life has not improved… Biden has not, you know, stuck to his promises.”
The panelists were on different sides in the 2020 election, but they’re all in agreement now – the Biden administration hasn’t beaten COVID, hasn’t improved the economy, and hasn’t kept its promises. They have no faith in the president, in Congress, or that we’re heading in the right direction as a nation. Margaret Brennan might find that hard to believe, but ordinary Americans seem to see more clearly.
