Chuck Schumer Says Democrats May Advance Spending Bill Without Republicans

(NewsReady.com) – On January 20, when President Joe Biden was sworn into office, he made a big show of saying he wanted to unify the country. Just hours later, he signed executive orders proving that wasn’t true. Democrats in the Senate are also demonstrating they’re not actually interested in unity.

On Tuesday, January 26, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said the chamber is going to move forward with Biden’s $1.9-trillion COVID-19 relief package without Republicans. He said he told senators to prepare to “vote on a budget resolution” as early as next week. If that resolution passes, the Democratic Party will be able to pass the relief package with a simple majority. That would likely make Vice President Kamala Harris the 51st vote, if the Democratic and Republican caucuses vote along party lines.

It’s obvious the Left has no plans to unify the country. They’re going to shove as many ill-conceived bills as possible through Congress for Biden to sign. The president will go down in history as a divider-in-chief.
