Democrats promised Americans mail-in voting was a safe alternative during the pandemic.
Roughly 8% of Dem voters said they planned to wait until the last week to vote by mail.
SCOTUS is allowing votes received after Election Day to be counted.
Those votes might later be invalidated.
(NewsReady.com) – For several months, Democrats have told voters that mailing their ballots will be what keeps them safe from COVID-19 during the election. Leftist governors went as far as to change voting rules in many states in order to make that happen. However, it seems they are now changing course in one state.
Official Warns Voters
On Wednesday, October 28, the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) turned down a request from Republicans to fast-track a motion to prevent Pennsylvania from counting ballots received up to three days after Election Day. The decision by the high court means the case likely won’t be heard before November 3, so officials in the state will be able to tally those votes. However, the justices said they might rule on the actual case after the election.
The SCOTUS’ decision means the justices could invalidate any ballot received and counted after Election Day at a later date. That possibility led to PA Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar to warn voters to stop “putting their ballots in the mail.” Instead, she said, voters should drop them off at a ballot dropbox.
A Problem of Their Own Making
If the Supreme Court justices invalidate votes later, that will be a direct result of the Left’s actions during the presidential race. Their decision to change the way people cast their ballots so close to Election Day would be the cause. Republicans warned of this sort of chaos for months.
In August, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said the Democratic Party wanted to “create chaos and confusion” by pushing mail-in voting. Now, as the election nears, it’s clear that’s exactly what’s happening. And, it looks like voters are going to be the ones who pay the price for the Left’s poor decisions.
