DeSantis Blasts Biden Over COVID Hypocrisy

DeSantis Blasts Biden Over COVID Hypocrisy
  • Joe Biden took office and reversed many of Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
  • A border crisis has rocked America for months.
  • The COVID-19 Delta variant is quickly spreading throughout the country.
  • As the Biden admin demands Americans get vaccinated, infected illegals are flooding the border.

( – President Joe Biden has said getting COVID-19 under control is his top priority. Recently, he ordered all government employees and contractors to either get the coronavirus vaccine or adhere to a strict testing schedule. Meanwhile, he’s allowing hundreds of thousands of illegals into the US.

When Biden recently slammed two Republican governors, one of them couldn’t believe the hypocrisy.

Biden Attacks

On Tuesday, August 3, Biden said Texas and Florida are to blame for “one-third of all new COVID-19 cases in the entire country.” He demanded they either help him mitigate the spread of the virus, or “get out of the way.”

Biden was upset about the 123,400 new cases in Florida and 64,753 new Texas cases from the week before. Democrats are blaming Republican Governors Ron DeSantis (FL) and Greg Abbott (TX) for the increase in cases because they have both put policies in place to protect the constitutional rights of residents in their states.

DeSantis thought the president’s remarks were outrageous for another reason.

Governor DeSantis Responds

The day after Biden’s remarks, DeSantis spoke to Laura Ingraham. He said the president is trying to blame them when he’s the one who’s allowing infected immigrants into the US and not telling state leaders where they are shipping them to. He especially took issue with the fact that the migrants are being sent to Florida.

DeSantis pointed out Biden ran for office on the promise he was going to “shut down the virus.” Instead, he’s doing the opposite. “He is bringing in people from over 100 different countries across the southern border,” the governor said. He claimed all of the variants of the virus are coming into America through the Southern border, yet Biden is lecturing governors about how they’re handling restrictions and lockdowns.

The Biden administration has indicated it’ll start requiring visitors to the US to receive the vaccine before they enter the country. However, there will be no requirement for the thousands who continue to cross the border without permission. Those migrants will continue encountering Border Patrol agents, putting them at risk. Or, they’ll get past the agents, enter other states, and put those people in danger.

If the president wants to stop the spread of COVID, perhaps he should start at the border.
