(NewsReady.com) – For months, the Trump Administration and Republicans have investigated former President Obama’s actions throughout the election and the transition period into Trump’s presidency. A number of questionable actions by the previous administration have come to light, including their potentially unconstitutional treatment of General Michael Flynn. Many have wondered if the former president committed a crime.
Now, President Trump has answered that question.
On June 22, President Trump spoke to CBN News’s David Brody and he was asked about Obama “spying” on his campaign. The host wanted to know what crime he thought the former president committed.
The commander-in-chief responded, saying, ”Treason. It’s treason.”

Treason is defined as an action against the government that betrays the country.
One could argue President Trump is right because the former administration was surveilling people close to him, which led to an investigation that could have removed the president from the Oval Office. There’s even evidence the FBI knew their investigation into the 45th president was based on lies.
Whether or not these allegations are going to turn into criminal charges remains to be seen.
