(NewsReady.com) – August 24 was the first day of the Republican National Convention (RNC) and it was incredible. The speakers were diverse and passionate. They all discussed how President Donald Trump has made America great again and will continue to do so if re-elected. One speaker stood out amongst the others.
For the second time, Donald Trump Jr. spoke to Republican voters at an RNC. His first appearance was in 2016, when he told the crowd all of the reasons why his father was a better candidate than Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Four years later, he once again made an impassioned plea to America.
The president’s namesake told voters the 2020 Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, will turn the “silent majority” into the “silenced majority” if he wins the race. The former vice president, he said, wants to “bully us into submission” and take away the right to free speech. Don Jr. spent just over 10 minutes talking about “the great American story:”
The rest of the RNC is expected to be just as exciting as the first night. All of the festivities are leading up to a speech from President Donald Trump on August 27, where he will formally accept the party’s nomination. That’s when the real campaign begins.
