(NewsReady.com) – COVID-19 has ravaged the world, leaving more than a million people dead in its wake. Although the US is opening up and everything seems to be going back to some kind of normalcy, the virus is still around and it’s still spreading. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of President Donald Trump’s coronavirus taskforce, discussed how different the holidays will look this year.
During an October 6 event hosted by American University’s Kennedy Political Union, Fauci said he isn’t spending Thanksgiving with his daughters this year. They told him they don’t want to catch the virus and infect him.

Many people across the country will likely feel the same way this year.
The good news is President Donald Trump has been working with healthcare professionals to make more treatments, like the ones he received while he was ill, available to the American people. A vaccine is also right around the corner for those who want to take it. The virus may still be in the US, but the situation is starting to look up.
