Dr. Oz Just Got A BIG Election Surprise
(NewsReady.com) – On May 17, Pennsylvania voters chose their candidates for the general election. The Republican Senate race was too close to call at the end of the night and remained so for weeks. The results are finally in.
Several days after the primary, on May 26, Pennsylvania’s acting Secretary of State Leigh M. Chapman ordered a recount. The race between Republicans Dr. Mehmet Oz and David McCormick was neck-and-neck. On Wednesday, June 8, it finally came to an end.
The recount determined Oz, who former President Donald Trump endorsed, was the winner of the race by just 951 votes. The announcement came one week after McCormick conceded the election. He told supporters that he congratulated Oz on the win and said he would work to unite the party behind him.
When the official announcement came down, Oz thanked Republican voters for choosing him.

Oz will now go up against a formidable candidate: Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman. The Democratic Party’s candidate is currently off the campaign trail after suffering from a stroke. Although he’s had surgery to have a defibrillator implanted, he still has some recovering to do. However, Fetterman’s cardiologist does expect he will be back on the campaign trail soon.
Dr. Oz supports Trump and his America First policies. He’s pledged to promote those policies if voters send him to Washington, DC.
