(NewsReady.com) – President Joe Biden has chosen a number of controversial officials for top jobs in the government. One of them is CIA Director William Burns. A conservative foreign policy expert is now calling on the director to resign.

On Wednesday, May 5, Center for Security Policy Executive Chairman Frank Gaffney told Breitbart News he believes Burns should resign for allegedly lying to the Senate Intelligence Committee. Gaffney is upset that the director used to run the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and believes he “enabled Chinese influence operations” while he held that position.
According to Gaffney, Burns lied when he told Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) that he shut down Chinese influence operations at Carnegie. He claimed that he even installed Zhang Yichen, an alleged Chinese influencer, on the board. Carnegie also teamed up with a university in China, but Burns claims the communists had no influence over anything. That’s hard to believe when you look at the country’s history of meddling in everything.
The Biden administration has not responded to the allegations.
