(NewsReady.com) – Rumors are circulating on MSM outlets about Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar potentially being replaced. Azar is overseeing a lot of the COVID-19 response. The chatter about his possible firing circulated most of the weekend. However, a handful of anonymous White House aides familiar with the situation said President Donald Trump hasn’t chimed in on the discussion.
Trump has occasionally disagreed with Azar’s handling of the coronavirus crisis. Still, the POTUS bashed this story as “fake news” as he called out MSM for its overly-sensational and misrepresentative story.
Reports that H.H.S. Secretary @AlexAzar is going to be “fired” by me are Fake News. The Lamestream Media knows this, but they are desperate to create the perception of chaos & havoc in the minds of the public. They never even called to ask. Alex is doing an excellent job!

The HHS secretary rarely appears at the regular coronavirus task force meetings. That’s because Vice President Mike Pence took over his role of organizing the meetings in February. While Azar isn’t in the public light as much as before, White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a statement the rumors are “irresponsible and a distraction” from the COVID-19 response.
Azar continues to serve his role as HHS secretary.
