FBI Insider Has Concerns Over Brian Laundrie's Death

(NewsReady.com) – On September 11, 2021, the parents of 22-year-old Gabby Petito reported her missing. A nationwide search for the missing woman was soon underway, which resulted in two families mourning the loss of their children and a whole lot of unanswered questions. A former FBI agent is especially troubled by the autopsy results.

In late September, Petito’s body was found in Wyoming where she died from manual strangulation. Her boyfriend Brian Laundrie’s body was found late the next month in Florida. A notebook was found near his body, and the FBI claimed it contained a confession that he killed Petito.

An autopsy later determined Laundrie died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police found the projectile from the weapon buried in 6 inches of dirt about 50 to 60 feet from where they found his body. His body had also been scattered by animals. Jennifer Coffindaffer, a 25-year FBI veteran, said she has never seen a case like the Laundrie-Petito case.

The former FBI agent said she was especially troubled by the autopsy findings that say he shot himself on the left side of the head even though he was right-handed. Coffindaffer said she either thinks he was ambidextrous (someone who is right and left dominant) or someone helped him kill himself.
