(NewsReady.com) – Former National Security Adviser General (Ret’d) Michael Flynn looks to be gearing up for a political comeback. The highly-decorated ex-officer was forced out of the administration in the first months of the Trump presidency following a controversial FBI investigation that looks increasingly like a political move to embarrass the incoming president. Now, with the Justice Department (DOJ) pushing hard for all charges against him to be dropped, he’s on the threshold of cleansing his reputation.
The case against Flynn has been steadily disintegrating for months. Recently released notes suggest senior FBI officers believed he’d been honest and forthcoming with the bureau – a stark contrast to the allegations eventually made by the Mueller investigation.
Things are changing quickly.

Now, allies of President Trump are pushing for Flynn to take on a prominent role in this year’s election campaign, reprising the role he played in 2016. Trump Communications Chief Tim Murtaugh told reporters Sunday “Gen Flynn is a great American” and bringing him back into the campaign would be “a great idea.”
