GOP Reveals Plans to Investigate Fauci

(NewsReady.com) – In less than a year, a new session of Congress will begin and Republicans believe they’ll be in the majority when that time comes. The midterms are still several months away, but the GOP is in a good position to take back power; the lawmakers only need to net five seats to make that happen. If they do win back the majority, they reportedly have a plan to investigate one of the most controversial officials of the pandemic.

Several Republicans have indicated they plan to investigate NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci if they win the majority. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, told Just The News the GOP wants to investigate how the doctor and others responded to the pandemic. They also want information about whether a Wuhan, China lab was responsible for the creation of the virus.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) told Fox News he wants to hold Fauci responsible.

Republicans want to know whether the NIAID helped fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has accused the doctor of lying to Congress, something Fauci has vehemently denied. In fact, he said the department had not funded any gain-of-function research.

Voters head to the polls on November 8.
