(NewsReady.com) – As the COVID-19 Delta variant spreads, mask mandates are being put in place again and talks of vaccine mandates are ramping up. Recently, President Joe Biden said all federal employees need to receive the vaccine or undergo regular, strict COVID-19 testing. California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced a similar policy. Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) is taking a different approach.
On July 29, Abbott signed an executive order banning mask and vaccine mandates in the state. The governor said his order will “provide clarity and uniformity” in the state’s fight against COVID-19. In a statement, he explained he believes people have the “individual right and responsibility” to decide what they want to do to keep themselves and their children safe. Abbott has also slammed Biden for allowing mass illegal immigration to possibly spread the coronavirus more.
While Biden is openly pondering shutdowns and mandates on U.S. citizens, the Administration is knowingly worsening the problem by importing COVID at extreme rates across the southern border.

Anyone who refuses to comply with the governor’s executive order could receive a $1,000 fine.
Texas has been on the front lines of the fight against Democratic tyranny from the start of the pandemic. Abbott has made it clear he won’t allow the Left to dictate what people do in his state. As the Delta variant spreads and Dems openly discuss lockdowns, he’s sending a strong message that Progressives need to keep their coronavirus restrictions and mandates away from the Lone Star state.
