(NewsReady.com) – A lot of heat has fallen on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) over the nursing home scandal in his state. That has allowed others who issued similar directives to fly under the radar. One of those leaders is now being called out and may face serious consequences.
Like Cuomo, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) directed nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients during the pandemic. She later rescinded the order, but the damage was done; people already lost their lives and some attribute the deaths to Whitmer’s policies.
On March 8, New Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido told a local news station that if his office finds the governor committed acts of “reckless endangerment,” then he would “move forward with charges.”

There have been so many failures by politicians across the country during the COVID-19 crisis that may have led to people’s deaths. Shouldn’t someone have to answer for that? If Whitmer put lives in danger, there has to be consequences. The families who lost loved ones deserve that much.
