Here's How Trump Has Improved International Standing

  • Donald Trump pulled America out of the Iran Deal and cracked down on the country.
  • Relations between the US and North Korea have improved.
  • Peace in the Middle East might finally be within reach.
  • The president put an end to China’s control of America.

(NewsReady.com) – President Donald Trump’s first term was full of incredible successes. He managed to undo a lot of former President Barack Obama’s harmful policies and put the US on a path to greatness. Not even the pandemic stopped him from making America great.

As his first term in office winds down, it’s time to take a look back at the great things he did on the world stage these last four years while serving as our commander-in-chief.

Peace in the Middle East

During the last few months of 2020, the Trump administration brokered multiple peace deals that will make the Middle East safer. Three countries in the region — Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Morocco — signed historic deals with Israel to normalize relations. There are even rumors that the president was able to get the Israeli leader in a room with officials from Saudi Arabia, which would have been the first meeting of its kind.

North Korean Relations

In 2018, Trump became the first sitting president to step into North Korea. The commander-in-chief met with Kim Jong-un, shook his hand, and then walked back to South Korea. It was a historic moment and a step toward peace between the two countries.

Trump has worked to normalize relations and negotiate a nuclear agreement with North Korea throughout his presidency.

Standing Up to Russia and China

When Trump ran for office in 2016, he promised he was going to crack down on China. That’s exactly what he did. He renegotiated a trade deal with the country, sanctioned it for human rights violations, and got rid of its spies in America.

The president has also been tough on Russia, despite Democrats claiming he’s colluding with the country. His administration expelled Russian diplomats over spying allegations and closed consulates in America.

Trump’s efforts to keep the US safe are going to be some of his most lasting legacies.
