According to The Washington Free Beacon, Blue Star Strategies, a Democratic consulting firm linked to Hunter Biden, has reported in filings under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) that it arranged two meetings in 2016 with the State Department and an attorney for Nikolai Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma. The owners of the strategy firm, Karen Tramontano and Sally Painter, wanted to see what the government’s position was on the Burisma owner, who was under investigation for an international bribery scheme at the time.
Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, in 2014. He was paid roughly $50,000 a month for the job and had no qualifications for the position. At the same time, his dad then-Vice President Joe Biden was heavily involved in Ukraine-US relations for President Barack Obama. Hunter Biden’s involvement and his father’s work at the time have left many wondering if there was anything illegal happening.
The latest filings are bringing that relationship back into the spotlight. Now, of course, there are questions about how involved Hunter Biden was with those meetings. Could this be even more fuel for the current federal investigation into the president’s son?
