Biden Gets Urgent Letter – Someone’s Life Is on the Line!
(NewsReady.com) – WNBA star Brittney Griner’s trial began on July 1 in Russia. The American citizen is accused of entering the country with hashish oil vape cartridges in her luggage. Recently, the imprisoned basketball player penned a letter to President Joe Biden.
According to The New York Times, Griner wrote to Biden on July 4 asking him to not forget about her. She said as she sits in a Russian prison, she’s “terrified” she might be stuck there forever. The imprisoned American told the POTUS she understands he’s “dealing with so much” but begged him to remember her and the other US detainees. “Please do all you can to bring us home,” she wrote.

A White House spokesperson didn’t confirm whether Biden had received the letter, but provided a statement from National Security Council Spokeswoman Adrienne Watson who said the US is working “aggressively … to bring her home.” Griner’s wife, Cherelle Griner, told CBS it was “very disheartening” that their family has still not received a call from the president.
Griner allegedly brought two cartridges into Russia which contained a total of 0.702 grams of hash oil. She’s now facing up to 10 years in prison. Legal experts have said she will probably be found guilty.
