Iran temporarily halted all flights, including domestic and international routes, citing operational restrictions. Said Chalandari, Tehran International Airport’s chief, stated, “For the time being, we have suspended incoming and outgoing flights at Tehran International Airport.”

Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq also implemented temporary airspace closures, with flights being redirected to Cyprus and Egypt. These measures highlight the extensive disruptions faced by passengers and airlines operating in the heavily affected Middle Eastern airspace. Many international carriers, including major airlines like Emirates and British Airways, diverted flights or avoided the region’s airspace altogether.
