Former President Obama’s administration was reportedly told Hillary Clinton made up the Russia claims.
President Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey in May 2017 for poor job performance.
Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 30.
The former director has written a book about his time at the FBI.
(NewsReady.com) – On Tuesday, September 29, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe revealed former President Barack Obama was briefed about allegations that Hillary Clinton made up the Russia collusion narrative about then-candidate Donald Trump. Reportedly, she did it to distract from her email investigation.
On Wednesday, former FBI Director James Comey went before the Senate Judiciary Committee and, suspiciously, had memory problems.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) asked Comey if he got “an investigatory lead” that US intelligence officials said Hillary Clinton linked Russia to Trump in order to “distract the public from her email scandal.” The former FBI director responded that it didn’t “ring any bells.”
Graham continued hammering at Comey and told him it’s “far-fetched” that he doesn’t remember such an important piece of information. The former director wouldn’t budge.
It’s hard to believe the former director of the FBI doesn’t remember something so important. Especially, when this is the guy who wrote a book about his time at the agency. So, he could remember moments that benefited him financially, but not important information from intelligence officials?
If it’s true that Hillary Clinton is the person who planted the seed for Russiagate, and the FBI ran with it, that’s an incredible breach of trust by the top law enforcement agency in the country.
The origins of that investigation have always been cloaked in mystery. So much so, Attorney General Bill Barr has US Attorney John Durham investigating how it was started. It’ll be interesting to see if he supports the information put forward by Ratcliffe. And, if so, what’s going to be done about it?
