(NewsReady.com) – Joe Biden’s attempt to grab the presidency before all legal votes have been counted has run into another obstacle – lack of cash. The former vice president resorted to begging for money from his followers to fund the “transition team” he’s set up.
Normally, when a new president is elected, the General Services Administration (GSA) supplies them with office space, briefings on the transition process, and around $8 million to cover the transition costs. However, with President Donal Trump actively working to resolve disputed results in the courts, the GSA thought a transition process was premature – and director Emily Murphy refused to release the money.

The GSA did finally sign off on the transition on November 23, granting Biden access to the money.
Interestingly, it seems Biden had been planning this for a while. He started raising money for the transition process back in June. So far he’s raised over $10 million – but he still wants more. President Obama’s 2008 transition cost $9.3 million in total, and with coronavirus still on the loose Biden won’t be planning any major events as part of his. So, what’s the extra money for?
