(NewsReady.com) – Typically, when a president is in office, it’s expected that they will run for reelection. That’s not the case with President Joe Biden. Many political pundits don’t believe the 46th POTUS is going to run for office again in 2024. Recently, when Vice President Kamala Harris was asked about the next general election, she got awkward.
On January 13, an NBC “Today” interview with Craig Melvin and Harris aired. During the discussion between the two, Melvin asked if she and Biden planned to run together again in 2024. Instead of giving a straightforward answer, the vice president said she was only “thinking about today,” saying the host was asking about gossip. She claimed she “really could care less about the high-class gossip on these issues.”
Melvin pressed the VP, asking again if there were any conversations about 2024 taking place. Harris responded that her current job is her “focus.”
NEW: During an NBC interview @VP Kamala Harris was asked if she had read any articles about a potential Biden- Cheney ticket in 2024. Harris' response, "I did not. No, I did not. And I really could care less about the high-class gossip on these issues"

It seems odd that the president and vice president haven’t ever discussed the next general election.
There have been a lot of rumors about tension in the West Wing between Harris and Biden, as well as Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. The VP’s popularity has tanked in the last year right along with her boss’ as they fail to follow through on the promises they’ve made to the American people. Some believe the secretary will push the veep out of the running for the nomination if Biden doesn’t run. Of course, 2024 is still three years away and there’s no telling what will happen between now and then.
Nonetheless, it appears Harris is feeling uneasy about it all.
