Ousted Democrat Charged – Murder Scheme Reported
(NewsReady.com) – Politics is a dirty game; there’s no doubt about it. Oftentimes, politicians and the media clash because their jobs essentially pit them against one another. Both parties usually understand that it’s not personal. Unfortunately, a Las Vegas Democratic is accused of making it very personal.
On Thursday, September 8, Las Vegas Police Captain Dori Koren held a press conference and announced the arrest of Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles, 45. The suspect is accused of stabbing journalist Jeff German to death. The law enforcement official showed some of the evidence that was recovered during a search warrant, including bloody shoes. Telles’ DNA was also allegedly found.
Koren didn’t disclose a motive during the press conference. However, he alleged Telles was mad at German for articles he had written “that exposed potential wrongdoing.”
German was found dead on September 3 with multiple stab wounds. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter covered allegations that Telles had a relationship with a staffer, bullied people, caused others emotional harm, and had a history of showing favoritism.
In June, Telles lost the Democratic primary for his job. In a Twitter message, he lashed out at the journalist.
Looking forward to lying smear piece #4 by @JGermanRJ. #onetrickpony I think he's mad that I haven't crawled into a hole and died. 😂 @LVRJ #LasVegas

Telles is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail.
