Liberals Push for Curfews That Aren't Proven to Work
  • COVID-19 cases are on the rise.
  • More than 250,000 people have died as a result of the virus.
  • Doctors are warning Americans to stay vigilant.
  • Democrats are responding to the new wave by forcing draconian measures on people that don’t work.

( – COVID-19 is a deadly virus, there’s no doubt about it. Americans across the country are doing their best to keep their families safe from the illness. Large swaths of people are limiting their exposure by staying home more often, wearing masks, and practicing good hygiene.

For the most part, the measures put in place by public health officials make sense. President Donald Trump’s administration has been working with the CDC for months to make sure everyone knows how to stay safe. Then, the leftist politicians got involved and started encouraging far-out ideas like curfews.

Viruses are not more dangerous at night. They do not spread more easily because the sun set for the day. So, why do Liberals insist on putting extreme curfews in place?

In the spring, when the virus was first spreading throughout the country, Liberal cities were quick to roll out the curfews. Now, we’re seeing the same type of measures popping up across the country again as we grapple with the fall and winter COVID-19 wave.

Experts Weigh In

Ohio State University Professor Efthimios Parasidis said “it’s wishful thinking” to believe a curfew is going to mitigate the spread of the virus. Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security scholar Dr. Amesh Adalja explained there is “nothing magical” about some time the virus is less likely to spread.

Some argue the curfews might even make it less safe because the period of time people are able to visit bars and restaurants is shorter. That means there’s a possibility more people will show up and the crowded atmosphere will create a superspreader event.

Liberals would probably be much better off and get a greater response if they just told people of the measures they can take to protect themselves. Those people could then decide what works best for their family.
