Life Behind the Senate Impeachment

Life Behind the Senate Impeachment

( – With what seems to be countless hours remaining before the Senate impeachment trial concludes, Senators are searching for various ways to pass the time and take their mind off the stress.

One of these methods involves enjoying a nice glass of milk or a different dairy product of their choosing. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) enjoyed not one, but two glasses of milk and some chocolate at his desk. Some accused Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) of drinking milk before revealing that she had, instead, snuck in some yogurt.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) was also spotted enjoying a glass of milk.

However, not everyone sees eye-to-eye on the pleasures of drinking milk. Some staunchly stick to water, like Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) of the dairy-powerhouse state. He defended is choice, saying “Don’t drop the dime on me on that one. I eat plenty of dairy products, trust me, but I’m more into cheese curds and cheese than drinking milk. I put that on my cereal.”

Traditionally, only water and milk have been permitted on the Senate floor.

Additionally, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) has been passing out fidget spinners and other gadgets to his fellow Republicans to help ease tensions.

With potentially weeks to go before the Senate impeachment hearings wrap up, it’s only natural that some amount of our Senators’ off time is spent on the simple joys of life.
