Made in America: How to Support the Movement in 2021

  • Donald Trump has made the “Made in America” movement one of the pillars of his presidency.
  • The US lost 5 million manufacturing jobs under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
  • Trump has loosened regulations to make the US more businesses-friendly.
  • Every American can help propel the movement forward.

( – One of President Donald Trump’s most important policies was the “Made in America” agenda. He wanted to ensure people supported US manufacturing and small businesses at a time when so many products are made in China.

America was bleeding manufacturing jobs before Trump’s term. From 2000 through 2016, the US lost 5 million good-paying jobs in the industry. Businesses moved to China, Mexico, and other countries that offered cheap labor and loose regulations. The president, a successful businessman, recognized the problem facing the USA as he, himself, had dealt with it. He slashed burdensome regulations and brought jobs back home.

Almost four years after Trump took office, the US is facing the possibility that Joe Biden might be the next president and bring back the regulations that drove companies away. It will be up to individuals to keep 45’s movement going.

How to Help Propel the Made in America Movement

The best way to help the movement is to buy American products. This can sometimes be difficult, but it’s possible to cut China out of your life completely if you’re dedicated. You don’t have to make a drastic change right away; you can also start slowly. For instance, if you have children, try only buying clothes and toys that were made in the US.

You can also spread the word to your friends and family. Tell them why it’s so important to support the movement. Here are a few tips to help you convince them that your way is the right way.

  • Products made in the US are more eco-friendly because they don’t have to be shipped from across the world, also America has stricter policies to fight pollution.
  • Toys and games made here are safer. Chinese products are often made with chemicals that can hurt kids, like lead paint.
  • Buying products made in the US creates more jobs for American workers, which is good for families and the economy.
  • Companies in the US don’t violate the human rights of their workers.

Once you tell people why buying American is important, they’re a lot more likely to help you spread the word and protect American manufacturing, even if someone like Biden is in office.
