(NewsReady.com) – The Trump Administration has made protecting the historical monuments in America a top priority. Last week, the president signed an executive order to ensure states are doing what they can to keep them safe, as well. Now, we’re learning that the memorials and statues will have extra protection over the holiday weekend.
On July 1, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary, Chad Wolf, told “Fox & Friends” there will be a special unit deployed to protect federal statues and monuments across the country.
The secretary explained the president wants to take “strong action” to ensure violent criminals aren’t destroying our history. Wolf went on to say he has “personnel ready to go.” Fox News reported members of the Protecting American Communities Task Force (PACT) will go to Portland, Seattle, and Washington DC.
On Twitter, President Trump also discussed the protection of federal property.
My Executive Order to protect Monuments, Statues etc., IS IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. In excess of a 10 year prison term. Please do not put yourself in jeopardy. Many people now under arrest!

Hopefully, for their own sake, the violent criminals who have caused so many problems over the last two months stay home and out of trouble. We all just want to enjoy the holiday without these people ruining it.
