(NewsReady.com) – Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has gotten used to playing Queen of the House – but it looks like she could be wearing out her welcome, even in her own party. Pelosi, and her Senate counterpart Chuck Schumer (D-NY), have been holding up a fresh round of stimulus spending since April. Now, her fellow Democrats are getting fed up.
Pelosi and Schumer are seemingly trying to take advantage of the COVID pandemic to blow $2.2 trillion on a shopping list of welfare handouts and financial aid to mismanaged state and city governments. They appear to be holding the American people ransom by refusing to approve any spending package that doesn’t meet their goals.
The GOP has spent eight months trying to get a package of stimulus checks and enhanced unemployment benefits approved. Meanwhile, workers are running up credit card bills and businesses going bankrupt. Now, Pelosi’s own party is starting to say “Enough!”
Master tactician Pelosi could have had a $1.8 trillion deal pre election and now will be lucky to get McConnell’s $500 billion deal. All while economists project double dip recession. https://t.co/fV8LaRRDLn pic.twitter.com/Tf5zvgEfmG

A range of Democrats, from House majority leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), DNC chair Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), and even Joe Biden himself, have urged Pelosi and Schumer to compromise with the GOP and approve a more realistic spending bill. Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Chris Coons (D-DE) have also joined the chorus of protests.
The question is, will Pelosi finally listen?
