(NewsReady.com) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is one of the most radical members of the House. Fortunately, because of her status as a freshman member of Congress, she doesn’t have a lot of power. But, she’s now indicating she wants that to change.
AOC granted Vanity Fair an interview for the magazine’s December issue. She spoke of her future plans and aspirations.
Presenting our December cover star: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! Two elections in, the congresswoman is still fighting the fight—and she’s as sure as she’s ever been.

The congresswoman said she doesn’t see herself staying in the House of Representatives “for the rest of [her] life.” Ocasio-Cortez said she doesn’t want to attempt a bid for higher offices unless she will gain more power to make a change. Right now, AOC doesn’t know if she can “be more effective in an administration.” However, she wouldn’t rule it out.
She’s the most likely to take over Senator Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) coalition of progressive voters when he leaves office — if she sticks around. Some believe that will lead to her running for the Senate or Oval Office. In 2024, AOC will be 35, the minimum age a person can assume the presidency.
