(NewsReady.com) – In 2019, then-President Donald Trump created the Space Force, the fifth branch of the US Armed Forces. At the time, he made it clear that he believed outer space would be the next battleground. His predictions panned out, and now his successor, President Joe Biden, is reportedly squandering the opportunity to get ahead of the threats.
As Russia & China ramp up the "daily" space attacks targeting American assets in orbit, defense experts believe that Space Force, the newest branch of the military, is uniquely positioned to defend U.S. interests on the battlefield beyond the atmosphere . https://t.co/lV6boFC84W

According to a Newsmax report, Russia and China are both developing space weapons. The two countries are said to be preparing to attack US assets in space. Recently, China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic weapon that orbited Earth before it hit its target. Russia carried out a successful weapons test to destroy old satellites, creating more than 1,500 pieces of space debris that put astronauts on the International Space Station at risk.
The new report claims the Biden administration isn’t giving the Space Force the tools it needs to fight back against these threats. As the country’s adversaries continue to make advancements in the new arena, the Pentagon isn’t using its new military branch to protect the country against a possible “space Pearl Harbor.”
The former first Air Force and Space Force Chief Software Officer, Nicolas Chaillan, told Newsmax both China and Russia are ahead of the US when it comes to developing the “most critical war-fighting capabilities” that could make or break America in future wars. Despite the warnings by experts, Biden has done nothing to propel the branch forward.
