(NewsReady.com) – Last week, Democrats lost their minds when they thought Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was called a name by a Republican colleague. Now, the shoe is on the other foot — and they’re surprisingly silent.
On July 28, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called Attorney General Bill Barr names during an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber. The Democratic leader said the Trump administration official was “like a blob” and accused him of being a “henchman for the president.”
"You don't send in people acting like storm troopers into the scene," Speaker Pelosi says of AG Barr defending the use of federal force in his House testimony. "He should be answering for what he did at Lafayette Square … He was like a blob — just a henchman for the president." pic.twitter.com/RGqBhEDJNC

Pelosi took issue with President Trump and Barr sending federal agents to Portland to protect federal property from rioters. The speaker also accused the law enforcement officers of behaving like “stormtroopers.” Apparently, insulting the attorney general wasn’t satisfying enough.
At this point, the hypocrisy shouldn’t be a surprise. But, do you ever really get used to members of Congress behaving like that? We shouldn’t; it makes us complacent. Insulting the people who are risking their lives to keep the country running and safe is beyond comprehension. But, here we are.
