Piers Morgan Requests Prince Andrew to Meet With FBI

(NewsReady.com) – Prince Andrew’s relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been a hot topic for years. The British royal stands accused of raping at least one woman who was allegedly trafficked by Epstein as a minor. That woman later sued the prince, prompting prominent UK journalist Piers Morgan to call on the royal to meet with the FBI.

In a Daily Mail column on August 10, Morgan discussed the lawsuit filed by alleged victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre. She’s suing the prince in US court, citing claims he sexually assaulted her and caused emotional distress. Morgan, a well-known loyalist to the royals, ran through the horrific details of abuse, saying the lawsuit “massively escalated the heat on” the prince who has repeatedly denied the allegations.

Although Andrew has denied the claims, Morgan pointed out, he has refused time and again to go under oath in front of the FBI. The journalist said the lawsuit is going to make it incredibly hard for the royal to continue to ignore the allegations. He said he has no idea if the prince is guilty, but his refusal to go under oath means that if he doesn’t everyone will be “entitled to draw [their] own conclusions from his refusals.”

For his part, Prince Andrew has not responded to the suit.
