(NewsReady.com) – As Democrats seek to possibly increase voter fraud by expanding mail-in voting, Republicans are doing the exact opposite. They understand that free and fair elections are paramount to the health of our democracy. That’s why a group of GOP lawmakers has introduced a bill to ensure voting security and safety.
On August 3, Republicans in the House introduced the Emergency Assistance for Safe Elections (EASE) Act.

The bill authorizes $400 million in funds to help secure elections. The money will be used to:
- Update the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) in order to secure non-voting technology, such as the services and products used to handle election results data.
- Help states clean-up voter rolls and get rid of people who are deceased or have moved.
- Recruit poll workers.
- Prevent ballot harvesting.
- Help pay for cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) at polling places during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If the bill passes, it would help prevent election fraud that comes with mail-in voting, too, because the voter rolls will be clean. Lawmakers want to do everything they can to secure elections, especially if that means addressing some of the inherent problems with the Democratic Party’s mail-in scheme.
