(NewsReady.com) – US Attorney John Durham has been probing the origins of the Russia investigations for months now. But, he isn’t the only one who is trying to get to the bottom of it. Senate Republicans are taking action, as well.
On September 16, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted 8-6 to allow Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) to issue subpoenas.
NEW: Senate GOP authorized dozens of subpoenas for ex-Obama officials—but they scrapped a separate subpoena vote related to the Biden/Burisma probe at the last minute. Romney called that probe a political exercise but the decision to pull was already madehttps://t.co/G9ZbZYrudn

According to reports, the Senate committee is going to order roughly 40 people to sit for depositions. Included on this list are several recognizable names: James Clapper, Susan Rice, Peter Strzok and James Comey.
The questioning will not happen publicly. Republicans hope to find out more about the Russia probe and about former President Barack Obama’s alleged involvement. Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) accused the GOP of a “partisan fishing expedition.”
Of course, if the Obama administration has nothing to hide, there shouldn’t be a problem. Innocent people don’t mind when the truth comes out.
