(NewsReady.com) – Those who support Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) were certainly happy to see the latest poll results in Nevada.
Bernie Sanders has a YUUGE 19% lead in #NVCaucus
35% BERNIE
16% Elizabeth Warren
15% Pete Buttigieg
14% Joe Biden#Nevada #DemDebate #Bernie2020 https://t.co/GSV9QqDWT3— Bernie Bob Jung (@BJ01123) February 19, 2020
Sanders’ 19-point lead in the state seems to indicate that he’ll almost certainly win the majority of delegates. This prediction isn’t out of the realm of possibility given that the senator does well with minority groups and the diverse demographics of Nevada. For example, Latinos make up a significant portion of the state’s population, which largely supports him over other candidates.
Additionally, according to the latest Data for Progress poll, his net favorability rate is at 38% compared to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) net 35% favorability. While no one can argue with his popularity, the Democratic establishment isn’t as enthusiastic as his supporters. Still, the momentum of Sanders’ campaign could push him well above the rest of the DNC candidates leading up to Super Tuesday, which is on March 3.
