Senate Hinges on These 4 States

Senate Hinges on These 4 States
  • Democrats want to flip the Senate and take control away from the GOP.
  • Doug Jones (D-AL) is vulnerable.
  • Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is fending off a challenge from former Marine Amy McGrath.
  • If the Dems win in Nov, and Trump is reelected, his agenda would be in jeopardy.

( – One of the reasons President Donald Trump is so successful as commander-in-chief is because the GOP has control of the Senate. This makes it possible to stop Democratic obstructionism and push through the president’s nominees for the courts and his administration. Democrats know this, and they’re on a mission to flip the Senate to their side of the aisle.

Last year, it seemed as though their chances were slim. Now, however, that doesn’t hold true. In fact, they may only need four seats to take over — that makes the 2020 election even more important for Republicans.

Republican Senator Susan Collins is expected to face Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon, the current frontrunner in the state. Democrats have had it out for Collins since she voted to confirm former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Her 2018 vote to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh really spurred them to action and now they’re out for blood.

Currently, Real Clear Politics shows Collins with a +14 point lead.

In Arizona, deceased Senator John McCain’s (R) former seat is causing some drama. His successor Senator Martha McSally (R) is in real danger of losing her seat to Democrat Mark Kelly.

Kelly, a former astronaut, is married to former Rep. Gabby Giffords. She left the House in 2012 after being shot in the head at a 2011 rally. Giffords and Kelly are as anti-gun as they come and have spent the better part of the last decade trying to infringe upon the Second Amendment.

Real Clear Politics has Kelly up 8 points.

In Colorado, Senator Cory Gardner (R) is facing former Governor John Hickenlooper. Real Clear Politics is giving the former governor the edge right now with a +13 point spread.

If he wins, Hickenlooper is promising to fight for a Liberal agenda. The failed Democratic presidential candidate is promising to push the radical Left’s pro-abortion, pro-immigration agenda. Senator Gardner, on the other hand, has been an ally of President Trump’s, and voters can expect his continued support of the commander-in-chief.

North Carolina

Finally, Senator Thom Tillis (R) is fending off a challenge from Democrat Cal Cunningham.

The Left’s candidate is promising to push for stricter gun laws to “protect” Americans while supporting abortion. Apparently, those lives do not matter. Tillis, on the other hand, is a fervent supporter of President Trump.

Real Clear Politics has Cunningham up by 7 points.

The 2020 election is the most important election of many people’s lives. If the Democrats are allowed to flip the Senate, they’ll likely destroy all of the progress President Trump has made. Everyone needs to exercise their constitutional right to vote in November to make sure their voice is heard.
