Sword-Wielding 7-11 Employee Cuts Off Man's Hand

Customer Leaves a 7-11 Store Handless – What Happened Will Shock You

(NewsReady.com) – Hawaii is a beautiful place where millions of people travel to every year. The big island, Honolulu, is home to over 350,000, but crime is still low at just 2 acts of violence per 1,000 residents. Unfortunately, a man has been added to those statistics after a bizarre incident at a 7-Eleven.

On July 22, Honolulu police responded to a call at the Waikiki convenience store. When they arrived, officers found a 51-year-old victim lying on the ground with his hand severed and multiple lacerations on his body. A cut on his stomach was 10 inches long and 3 to 4 inches deep.

Police arrested 7-Eleven employee Jason Walker, 46, for allegedly using a sword to attack the victim. On July 27, an Oahu grand jury indicted him on one count of second-degree attempted murder.

According to authorities, the two men were arguing inside the store when the suspect reportedly grabbed the weapon. The victim attempted to shield himself with his hands, resulting in the amputation. The suspect tried to run away, throwing his sword in a dumpster before leaving, but the police later caught him.

First responders transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition. It’s unclear whether doctors were able to reattach the man’s hand.
