(NewsReady.com) – Sylvester Stallone is one of the most iconic actors in Hollywood. The 76-year-old has starred in dozens of movies throughout his decades-long career, most notably the “Rocky” franchise. Now, the actor’s going in a different direction.
Stallone and his family have gone full Kardashian. “Rambo,” his wife, 54-year-old Jennifer Flavin and their daughters, 20-year-old Scarlet, 24-year-old Sistine, and 26-year-old Sophia, star in a new reality show called “The Family Stallone.”
The new reality show is currently streaming on Paramount+. The actor talked about the new eight-episode show, saying he was “nervous” about doing reality TV because he didn’t know if he “fit into that world.” Ultimately, the actor said he did it for his daughters, who are all influencers and said he was “glad” he took the leap.
During the show’s first episode, the girls talked about how difficult it’s been to date with their overprotective father always in the background. Sistine told the cameras, “Dating when we have the dad that we do is rough.” She went on to talk about a time when one of her dates tried to kiss her at the house. The boy looked up and saw the silhouette of the “Tulsa King” on the second-floor balcony. Sistine said the boy left and didn’t return; she called her dad “cinematic in the most unnecessary” ways.
Though the show has received mostly positive reviews, not everyone is happy with how it was edited. Leila Latif, a critic for The Guardian, took issue with the first two episodes of the show not discussing the actor’s marital problems. During the time the show was being filmed, Jennifer filed for divorce. Though the proceedings were put on hold a month later, Latif criticized the show for not discussing the issues. Of course, only two of eight episodes have been released, so she doesn’t know what direction it will take over the next six.
Fans can watch new episodes of the show every Wednesday.
