(NewsReady.com) – China has always been a thorn in the US’ side, though the threat has recently been growing. On Monday, August 17, John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), told reporters the communist country is the biggest threat to the security of the US – and that includes trying to interfere with the upcoming election. Ratcliffe says China poses a variety of dangers, but meddling with our democracy is a fast-growing one that has US intelligence agencies worried.
Other countries are also keen to interfere in the election, with Russia and Iran being major culprits, but China has enough influence to be a real threat. President Donald Trump has taken a hard line with the Beijing regime over their unfair trade practices and the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Communist dictatorship would like nothing more than a Democrat victory in November.
Meanwhile, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has been silent about the threat from China, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is still pushing the DNI to talk more about Russia, and downplaying China as “not equivalent.”

Ratcliffe disagrees and says the US intelligence community is briefing members of Congress on the danger of Chinese influence. Unfortunately, if Schiff and Pelosi are anything to go by, the Democrats don’t want to know.
