(NewsReady.com) – Joseph Maldonado-Passage, also known as “Joe Exotic” or “Tiger King,” revealed he had prostate cancer in 2021. The Netflix star is currently imprisoned after being found guilty of a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin. He is currently serving a 21-year sentence. Recently, he made a big change to his will.
On February 5, TMZ published a prison-recorded call it obtained where Maldonado-Passage lays out what he wants to happen when he passes away. According to the audio, he signed a new will and said he is leaving his entire estate to Seth Posey, his fiancé. If his significant other, who he met on the internet, dies, then the estate would go to Posey’s son, Cameron.

Maldonado-Passage is heard saying in the recorded call that his attorney Autumn Blackledge “is the executor of the will” and he doesn’t want any of his assets going to anyone, including Jeff Lowe, the now-owner of the private zoo Maldonado-Passage used to own in Oklahoma.
Lowe is accused of swindling the zoo out from under Maldonado-Passage after telling him he would help him. Then Lowe allegedly worked with federal authorities, providing them with the evidence they needed to lock the Tiger King up.
Maldonado-Passage explained in the call that he is “sick of people standing in line waiting to collect” his belongings. He said he wanted to take preemptive measures to ensure his assets are protected from those he doesn’t want to have them.
In addition to leaving his estate to Posey, Maldonado-Passage said he signed a do not resuscitate order (DNR). That means medical professionals will not apply life-saving measures should they be needed.
Maldonado-Passage has appealed his convictions, but has so far been rejected by the federal courts. He was, however, resentenced in January 2022 and given 21 years in prison, shaving one year off his original sentence.
