(NewsReady.com) – Democrats have been pushing hard for mail-in voting policies lately. They claim it won’t be safe to go to the polls in November because of the coronavirus. Republicans, however, believe it’ll lead to widespread election fraud.
President Donald Trump and Attorney General William Barr discussed those concerns this week.
During an interview with “Sunday Morning Futures,” Barr told host Maria Bartiromo that mail-in voting “opens the floodgates to fraud.” The attorney general explained that the ballots are “delivered into mailboxes” and can be stolen pretty easily.
President Trump agreed with Barr and discussed it on Twitter on Monday.
RIGGED 2020 ELECTION: MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE PRINTED BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES, AND OTHERS. IT WILL BE THE SCANDAL OF OUR TIMES!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 22, 2020
Sending out tens of millions of mail-in ballots to unsecured mailboxes across the country doesn’t sound like a great idea. The only way to ensure the election is safe is if voters go to polling stations and present their identification. Otherwise, we could see massive fraud.
