These DeSantis Donations May Be a Sign…
(NewsReady.com) – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is extremely popular within the Republican Party. A lot of chatter has surrounded the governor and whether he will run for president in 2024; but first, he needs to get through his re-election campaign. According to reports, he’s receiving millions from some of former President Donald Trump’s biggest supporters.
According to a June 19 POLITICO report, 10 donors who collectively spent $24 million on Trump in 2020 have donated $3.4 million to Friends of Ron DeSantis this election cycle. The majority of the donors have reportedly never thrown money into a state race before. Those who have given money before are spending a lot more this time around.

The governor’s campaign has raised over $100 million for re-election this year. Currently, the Cook Political Report has the Florida gubernatorial race rated “likely” Republican.
Although DeSantis is popular and could run in 2024, he has not shown any interest. In 2021, the governor said he has no plans to run for president because he’s busy in Florida.
