(NewsReady.com) – On Sunday, August 2, President Donald Trump insisted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be executed for the 2013 atrocity that left three dead and hundreds injured. He took to Twitter after a federal appeals court threw out the death sentence passed on the 27-year-old Chechen terrorist, because the judge who prosecuted him didn’t screen jurors for biases.
Ever since Tsarnaev was convicted for the terror attack he and his brother Tamerlan committed, his lawyers have been arguing he couldn’t get a fair trial in Boston because of widespread revulsion at his crimes. The appeal court seemed to agree, although it also ruled that his convictions on several capital crimes should stand.
Now, there will be a new penalty-phase trial – and capital punishment will still be an option. President Trump has now made very clear that’s what his administration wants to happen.
Rarely has anybody deserved the death penalty more than the Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The court agreed that this “was one of the worst domestic terrorist attacks since the 9/11 atrocities”. Yet the appellate court tossed out the death sentence. So many lives lost….

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is likely to appeal directly to the Supreme Court in an attempt to reinstate the original death sentence. If that doesn’t work, a new jury will have to decide if Tsarnaev should pay the price for his crimes.
