(NewsReady.com) – President Donald Trump has said he’s going to name a nominee for the Supreme Court seat vacancy left by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Friday, September 18. Democrats are furious. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is so upset about it, she said she isn’t taking impeachment off of the table as a means to stop him. Now, the president has responded.
On Monday, during an interview with “Fox and Friends,” Trump spoke about Pelosi’s threat, saying the Left is going to try to impeach him “for doing what constitutionally” he’s required to do. Then, he said if they follow through, Republicans “win all elections.”
The president is right to be outraged by the threat. It’s literally his job to nominate Supreme Court justices when there’s a vacancy on the court. To impeach the commander-in-chief for performing his constitutionally-mandated duties would be utterly outrageous and something the voters may not take well.
